Kidprov: A student must first learn to listen, respond and visualize before he or she approaches the finer methods of acting. This class focuses on improv, repetition exercises, sense memory and more, helping the students to connect with each other and to their characters. Theatre terminology, character analysis, observation banks, and back-stories are discussed and developed preparing them for more structured scene work. Many techniques are used in this class. |
| Scene Work: After taking the acting/improv class the students are ready to approach structured scenes and monologues. A variety of theatre games, improv, and techniques will be used to help the young actor to listen, respond and be in the moment. We will also be focusing on helping the young actor use their imagination and instincts in developing a character. The goal is to realize that acting is much more than saying the lines. |
